You know I am in dire need of healthy meals and snacks. We’ve been on-the-go so much lately, I feel like I have been living the fast food life, and I do not like it one bit!
Since being inspired by the HEB Slim Down Showdown, I’ve been working on getting back in shape. It’s not an easy thing when you’re my size, with my various medical conditions. But there are definitely things I can do, that I have not been doing.
Bad Karly, bad!
LALA® Yogurt Smoothies is a proud sponsor of the HEB Slim Down Showdown, and I love it because I adore LALA® Yogurt Smoothies. I discovered them when I moved back to San Antonio in 2014, and I wondered how I ever lived life without them.
I know, I am special. But seriously, they are delish, and with 5 grams of protein and real fruit, you know I am down to stay full, so I’m not eating tons of crap.
Right now the weather is starting to turn nice and the kids are all about to get into spring and summer sports, so Mama has gotta be on top of errrrrrrrrrrrrthing, and that means I have to up my health game.
Fo realz.
Since I’m always on the go, I’m taking my LALA® Yogurt Smoothies with me, as well as these super simple, super sweet, no bake energy bites. I can pop them in a baggie and stow them in my purse, then eat one when I need a bit more energy, so I’m not noshing on a bag of chips. The HEB Slim Down Showdown would not look too fondly on that.
The HEB Slim Down Showdown is a 12-week competition with 28 partners and community members, with huge prizes and all sorts of education and tools to conquer unhealthy habits. Since it began seven years ago, more than 6000 pounds have been lost by participants.
HOW COOL IS THAT.
Follow along from home with HEB and watch fellow Texans for inspiration and delicious healthy meals and snacks!
And if you’re crazy on-the-go like me, be sure to grab your LALA® Yogurt Smoothies and these no bake energy bites!
